Green Interiors began when a visionary came home. Back in the 1970s, our founder purchased a 19th-century manor house in Cheshire, in the north-west of England. Though its exterior was stunning, when he stepped inside, he knew there was much to be done to restore this charismatic beauty to her former glory.

Inspired by circumstance – 1970
Green Interiors decided that creating a sense of harmony between the exterior and interior of a home was crucial and began to renovate it appropriately with bespoke furniture made to his designs.
Beautiful design to last a lifetime – 1978
Word of Green Interiors achievements spread and soon he was receiving requests to create personal designs for other homes – catering to every room in the house through the reintroduction of hand crafted paneling.
By 1978, demand for his designs increased, so Green Interiors invested in an artisan workshop in the North of England. The first official design released wasthe Victorian Kitchen.
Green Interiors removed walls to make the room more spacious and installed sociable kitchen islands and chandeliers for unexpected glamour. This unique design resonated with opinion-makers in the world of interiors, who credited Green Interiors with creating a revolution. By transforming the kitchen from a solitary domestic space to a desirable room to gather and entertain, he changed the way interior designers and their clients engage with functional spaces in the home. Green Interiors philosophy is still as highly regarded today and his vision and style have changed the way we all view and use our kitchens forever.
A visionary honored – 2012 and 2018
Green Interiors was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the Queen’s New Year Honours for services to the luxury goods industry. We were also thrilled to welcome HRH The Princess Royal who visited the workshop in 2018 to acknowledge 40 years of British Luxury Interiors.

Today, continuing the vision and values of our founder 40 years ago, Green Interiors has become synonymous with great British craftsmanship and the very finest interiors. We work with clients in the most notable residences across the globe, expertly combining rare, exotic materials with age-old skills and the most modern of technologies to every room. It’s about fusing heritage craft with the dynamism of tomorrow, researching new and exciting materials, bringing the best of automotive and jewellery-making techniques into home.
